A small vessel with a character of its own.

Onree brings the playful forms and tactile surfaces of Memory Foam to the ochoko, a small cup made for drinking sake. Irregular rims, colourful details and unexpected textures bring the artist’s approach to clay into an everyday ritual.

Made in terracotta with engobe and glaze, the cups explore the meeting of soft gestures and fired surfaces. The photographs show different cups from the group.

Part of Memory Foam at Jinny Street Gallery, Jingumae 2-chome, Tokyo, 1–26 October 2026.
