A gesture, held in clay.

Foam #11 is a ceramic work in European terracotta, engobe and glaze. A narrow cream spire rises from a broad base decorated with softly drawn pink circles. A striped orange-and-yellow addition and a textured blue disc create a playful counterweight to the tall, spare silhouette.

For Memory Foam, Onree follows the movement of his hands and the response of the clay. Pressing, pinching and bending leave their traces; firing makes those passing gestures permanent. The irregular form carries the energy of its making into the finished work.

Part of Memory Foam at Jinny Street Gallery, Jingumae 2-chome, Tokyo, 1–26 October 2026.
